Cream contouring with Illamasqua cream pigment in hollow

Illamasqua cream pigments are interesting products. They come in the classic Illamasqua shape and are multipurpose products. It retails for 17,50 pounds and contains 10 grams of product. Depending on the color they can serve different purposes like under eye correct, redness corrector, eyeshadow and blush. I chose the the color hollow which is a light taupe color (the top layer is more brown then it actually is) and does a great contouring color.

Because I have a lot of cream Blushes I wanted a color that I could easily blend with my blush and keep everything very natural. Illamasqua makes also a darker shade called delerium that can also be used for contouring on darker skin tone.
¸
Here it us applied heavily without any blush

Then blended with a bit of cream blush

Of course on those pictures I applied it heavier than I normally would , but you can see how natural the color looks and that it look like a real shadow. I would say that the staying power is better than powder contour. You can also layer them if you have a night out,

  1. I think it's great for most light skin tones. I think it would be hard to build up on an NC30 or darker.

  12. I saw the sleek make up kit, the duo one with the highlighter. It was a bit too warm for me, but I think it would be perfect for you! The package is nice a lot of women complain that it's not super thigh, but stored properly it's not an issue.

  13. In general it is said that cream contour is more subtle. I just like how easy it is to blend. I'm also big into bronzer lately and I don't contour all the time. But summer is a good season for cream blushes and the dewy look.

  14. Thank you. That's my observation as well I need to apply my blushes a bit clownish for them to show up!

  15. It looks good in the pics! But yeah, I know from experience that indeed you have to use a heavier hand for cheek and face products to show up on photo.

  16. Hey Judith, I think it looks just fine in the photos! Definitely a very natural contouring shade for you! I never contour with a cream product. Now come to think of it, I don't contour that much anymore! Most of the time I pop some bronzer on and call it a day :)

  17. I don't think it looks heavy at all anymore on the second picture, but just subtle and smooth! So, that is a good thing. I like the package and it seems to do its job well, hm? If I were to purchase contouring products though.. I would probably play around with a cheaper brand first.. to see if I like it and to discover how to use it well. I've seen a small kit by Sleek MakeUp!
